The Daiwa Luvias 1003 is designed as a lightweight yet powerful reel that goes beyond comprehension. The entire construction of the Luvias 1003 is completely corrosion resistant. The Daiwa brand introduced a groundbreaking technology for modern fishing with the Daiwa Luvias 1003 through its Zaion and Real Four technology that delivers a solid performance that is enhanced beyond the capabilities of Daiwa’s flagship models. The high quality engineered body is almost equivalent to Daiwa’s Air Metal technology that is present in other Daiwa reel models. The Daiwa Luvias 1003 is a light and tough reel that shows superior performance compared to other reel materials available in the industry today.
The Daiwa Luvias 1003’s gear ratio is 4.8:1 that delivers solid performance on every turn of the line. Line capacity is at 90m of 2 kilograms. The reel’s bearings is 1 roller with 6 CRBB and only weighs 170 grams all up. The anti-rust ball bearings and CRBB allows for a much smoother and water proof drag which makes the reel safe for use in saltwater.
The Real Four design of the Daiwa Luvias 1003 shares the spool and handle dimensions of other Daiwa Real Four reels such as the Certate and Exist. The lightweight all round spinning reel has an engineering compound Zaion body that will achieve the close to Steez weight for an economical price.
The Daiwa Luvias 1003 also sports a 7 ball bearing and 1 roller bearing that provides very smooth rotation. The reel also has Air bail, ABS spool, cross wrapping oscillation (for silent oscillation), Tand a Twist Buster 2 line roller.
